Digital Dream Labs Anki Cozmo and Vector

Digital Dream Labs has acquired the IP of Anki, the makers of the Anki Cozmo and Anki Vector robots. Here is what we know so far.

Anki closed in the first half of 2019. Since then their assets went up for auction etc.

It seems that Digital Dream Labs acquired the IP, which includes assets like patents and code.

Digital Dream Labs works in the educational tech space. They make some educational apps, curriculum, and puzzlets etc.

It sounds like they bought the Anki IP mostly for Cozmo.

This is a big relief for us at Kinvert since Cozmo is one of our favorite educational tools. We use the Anki Cozmo SDK in our robotics classes.
